Mother and daughter artists, Sherri Loonsfoot Aldred and Aiyana Aldred reconnect to their Anishinaabe culture and relationship to the land through art and language. Experience plein air painting and Ojibwe language through artist demonstration and pop-up language school.
Sherri was the last generation of her family to attend Boarding School in the 1970s. Sherri and Aiyana are Marquette-based artists and Anishinaabe Ojibway citizens of the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community.
