INSPIRED BY...

We are conducting this event to strengthen the arts community in Marquette by bringing more awareness to the various arts spaces in the area, as well as fostering collaboration among the various creative groups. This event has been inspired by the Art Stroll during the City of Marquette’s Art Week and by a similar series originating in Portland, Oregon.

First Thursdays have evolved and grown into a popular movement across the country as a night out to debut, celebrate, and share art with tourists and residents. In bringing First Thursdays to Marquette, we hope to encourage patrons to explore the art community by connecting artists with the greater public.

Marquette First Thursdays is sponsored by Edge Partnerships, Travel Marquette; partnered with The City of Marquette Office of Arts & Culture, Lake Superior Art Association; and founded by Graci Gallery
