A weekend of choir performances of Russian composers Rachmaninoff and Chesnokov in their native language and Church Slavonic.
Beautiful melodies and exquisite harmonies mark Russian Nights: Rachmaninoff and Chesnokov, the Marquette Choral Society's upcoming spring concert. The group, led by Music Director Dr. Erin Colwitz, will perform Sergei Rachmaninoff’s All-Night Vigil and selections by composer Pavel Chesnokov, without instrumental accompaniment, so the lovely sonorities of this romantic music will shine through.
