The Doctor Is In--Anesthesia & Your Anesthesiologist

Nobody wants to have surgery; however, sometimes it is necessary.   A critical component of that surgery is anesthesia, the topic of this month’s Meet the Physician series in the Peter White Public Library’s Shiras Room on Wednesday, July 19, at noon, with U.P. Health System’s Dr. Maureen McNeely.

A graduate of Creighton University School of Medicine, Dr. McNeely did her internship at Baystate Medical Center and fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Hospital.  Board Certified in anesthesiology and pediatric anesthesiology, she will discuss the types of anesthesia as well as the role of an anesthesiologist in a medical procedure.  Bring a sack lunch as well as any questions you may have.
