Senior Arts: Fall Leaves in Watercolor w/ Colleen Maki

Senior Visual Arts classes are typically offered on the first and third Wednesday of each month from 1:00pm-3:00pm at the City of Marquette Arts & Culture Center, located in the lower level of Peter White Public Library. NOTE: These classes will be offered on the first and second Wednesdays of October.

October’s classes feature watercolor painting of fall leaves, taught by Colleen Maki!

Learn some basic watercolor techniques while creating a beautiful fall leaf painting! We welcome you to bring 6 colorful, flattened (put in book to flatten), different sized leaves of your choosing, but will provide some of your own if you’re unable.

These classes are free to City of Marquette, Chocolay Township, Powell Township, and Marquette Township residents ages 55+. Non-residents are welcome to attend for a small donation of $5 per class to help cover the cost of supplies.

Reserve your spot by calling Tristan at (906) 225-8655 or emailing tluoma@marquettemi.gov. The same class will be offered on both dates, so please only sign up for one or the other. No prior experience necessary.

NOTE: Classes tend to fill up quickly. In the event that a class is at capacity, we encourage you to join a wait list; we’ll get in touch prior to the class if any spots open up.
