Managing Grief Through the Holidays

The Marquette Senior Center will be hosting an event titled Managing Grief Throughout the Holidays

Lake Superior Life Care and Hospice is offering a one-hour presentation on Wednesday, October 10th.  Research indicates that those who have the most difficulty time with holiday grief are those who do not plan ahead.  The workshop is designed to help simplify the season and therefore find the holidays a little less stressful.  Topic will include:

Helping a friend who is grieving the loss of a loved one

Managing grief the first holiday after a loss

Seniors grieve differently

Holiday help list (chart)

Grief, gratitude and generosity

Accepting the past, enlarging the future
