Ever wonder how some artists come up with colors that you’ve never seen? Learn to create colors with a limited palette to create beautiful natural colors and grey tones that are unachievable in readymade tubes and bring harmony to your paintings. Bring a few small canvases or boards, disposable palette paper (available if you have none), palette knives (available to use during class), brushes of your choice, and the following suggested colors – cadmium red light, alizarin crimson, cadmium yellow medium, lemon yellow, ultramarine blue, cobalt blue, viridian green, white. If you don’t have these colors, you may bring a light and deep red, a warm and cool blue, a deep and light yellow, deep greenish, and white. If you are missing a color, it will be available for your use during class.
