City of Marquette Redevelopment Site Workshop

Greetings, Marquette community!

On Wednesday, June 14th from 6-8 p.m., the City of Marquette will be hosting a Master Plan workshop at the Lakeview Arena.

This workshop is intended to gather the community’s ideas on these potential redevelopment sites in the city:

• Marquette Mall (2025 US Hwy 41)
• Area around Tadych’s Marketplace
• Washington Street Corridor from US-41 to 3rd Street
• West side of Lake Shore Boulevard from E. Ridge Street to E. Fair Avenue
• South Marquette Commercial Area (along US-41 from Shiras Drive to Genesee Street)

The workshop will be technical and hands-on (have you dreamt of being a community planner or enjoy games like Sim City? This workshop is for you!) and we are requesting that participants RSVP so that we can ensure adequate space and supplies.

Our team will share a pre-workshop packet with all participants who RSVP about one week prior to the meeting. The packet will include more details about each potential redevelopment site and some questions to get participants thinking about what is possible at each location.
