August September Public Gallery Program Exhibits

Peter White Public Library and the City of Marquette Office of Arts and Culture announce the upcoming exhibits in the Public Gallery Program.

EXHIBITS:

Huron Mountain Club Gallery (Main floor): Daric Christian, Cell Phone Photography

Photos taken and processed with a cell phone.

The Deo Gallery (lower level): Antony Aumann, Inner Turmoil, Outer Beauty: Portraits of Contradiction

Oil pastel portraits.

Lower Level Lobby Gallery (Outside the Deo Gallery): Tamara Lee Niemi, Exaltation

The exhibits will be on display through the end of September. The Opening Reception for August/September Public Gallery Program exhibits will be held Thursday, August 10th, from 6-8pm at the Peter White Public Library (217 N Front St)

The Deo Gallery is owned by the City of Marquette and is on the lower level of PWPL in the City’s Arts & Culture Center; it is supported by the Lake Superior Art Association. Also on the lower level is the PWPL-owned Lower Level Lobby Gallery. PWPL’s Huron Mountain Club Gallery is found on the main floor by the Front St entrance.

The Public Gallery Program is a partnership between the City of Marquette Office of Arts and Culture and Peter White Public Library aimed at providing inclusive and accessible exhibit space for both artists and audience. Bi-monthly exhibits rotate within two galleries; the Deo Gallery and the Huron Mountain Club Gallery.
