Marquette was one of 373 communities spotlighted in this national study that measures both the economic and social impact of the arts and culture industry. This virtual event will unveil the major findings of the study and kick off the dissemination of local-centric impacts for our region. The City of Marquette Office of Arts & Culture worked closely with the Upper Peninsula Arts & Culture Alliance to survey the U.P. region over the past year. The previous study, conducted in 2017 documented that the nonprofit arts and culture industry generated $166.3 billion in economic activity which supported 4.6 million jobs and generated $27.5 billion in government revenue.
