Anatomy Of An Election

Join us for a lively, informative celebration of American democracy in action!  Guest Election expert, Marie Wicks, with help from local election officials, will walk the audience through all the ways in which our elections are handled safely and securely, through transparency, checks and balances, public involvement, and redundancy. We will have light refreshments, audience participation opportunities, and a chance to talk to Marie and local city, township, and county clerks. The event is free to the public and sponsored by three nonpartisan organizations: Center for Change, Northern Votes, and League of Women Voters of Marquette County. Location is in Room 1322 of John X. Jamrich Hall on the NMU campus.
