Lindsay Juricek from the Alzheimer’s Association will present a talk on the basics of Alzheimer’s disease.

On Wednesday, June 28, at 7:00 pm, Lindsay Juricek, Regional Manager of the Upper Peninsula Division of the Alzheimer’s Association, will present a talk entitled “Alzheimer’s Disease:  The Basics,” in the community room of the Peter White Public Library.

 

Currently, more than 5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s which by 2050 could rise to 16 million.  In 2017, Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia will cost the nation $259 billion which could rise to $1.1 trillion by 2050.  1 in 3 seniors die with Alzheimer’s or another form of dementia, making it the 6th ... view more »
