This class will teach the basic tools of Field Drawing. Participants will learn a basic history of observational sketching and how field drawing has contributed to both Art and Science over time and remains relevant in professional and personal practice today. This class is designed for all levels, whether you are an artist who’d like to explore the natural world or an outdoors adventurer who wants to better record your experiences, all will enjoy an afternoon of putting pencil to paper and appreciating our natural surroundings. *Part of this class will be outdoors, please dress comfortably for the temperature.
Senior Arts classes are free to City of Marquette, Chocolay Township, Powell Township, and Marquette Township residents ages 55+. Non-residents are welcome to attend for a small donation of $5 per class to help cover the cost of supplies.

NOTE: Classes tend to fill up quickly. In the event that a class is at capacity, we encourage you to join a wait list; we’ll get in touch prior to the class if any spots open up.
