Adventure Building Camp

At Adventure Building Camp, we set up our workshop in a retired sawmill just outside Marquette’s city limits.  At camp the goal is to build something AWESOME, as my friend would say, “Just for the glory of it.”  We give kids an adventure problem to ponder and they build a structure/ vehicle to meet the challenge. We do whatever we can to make it happen, and support kids so it can truly be “their” experience.  When we are not building, we take breaks to go berry picking, explore the nearby sandpit, catch crayfish in the river, bike the nearby trails, and of course, swim in the Dead River.

The basic idea is this: build something incredible with a group of new friends and then take it out for a test drive (that’s the adventure part!).  We hope you’ll join us!

We are still accepting applications for girls ages 9-14 to attend camp at 1 of 2 sessions. July 9-12, 2018 or July 16-19, 2018
