The City of Marquette Office of Arts and Culture hosted a social and informational arts advocacy event on March 30th, from 6-8pm at the Ore Dock Brewing Co.

The State of the Arts event aims to bring together

  • Artists
  • Organizations
  • Businesses
  • Community Leaders
  • Residents

As the City approaches the renewal of its 10-year Arts and Culture Master Plan, these conversations are an important step in making sure the creative community’s voice is heard. The State of the Arts events will connect community members to initiatives and resources provided by the City to support local creatives and culture bearers. Events also act as a formal platform for community feedback and building connections across the creative community.

The City of Marquette Office of Arts and Culture invites anyone with a vested interest in local arts and culture to attend State of the Arts events. Whether attendees have concerns or wishes of their own to share or just want to listen in and learn more about what’s going on behind the scenes, they are encouraged to attend.

Future topics and dates of State of the Arts events will be announced soon.

If you are interested in learning more or working with us to shape these community engagement opportunities, contact the Office of Arts & Culture at arts-culture@marquettemi.gov or (906) 228-0472.
