The annual Fresh Coast Plein Air Painting Festival, hosted by the Lake Superior Art Association, returns as a signature Art Week event, this year headquartered at the historic Marquette Harbor Lighthouse Park. Painters of all ages and experiences are invited to join the competition!

There are two competition segments: a Dusk to Dark session on Friday evening, and an All-Day session on Saturday. Painters will have the length of the sessions to complete their pieces at a local site of their choosing, then submit their work for judging and display by 4:30pm on Saturday. There are two Competition Levels: Level 1 for professional/advanced artists, and Level 2 for beginner/casual artists. Entry fees for Level 1 are $25 with pre-registration or $30 the day-of, and for Level 2 are $15 with pre-registration or $20 the day-of. Cash prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of the event, including an award for Peoples' Choice.

From 6:00pm-7:30pm on Saturday, a free public showing, reception, and awards ceremony will be held at the Plein Air HQ at Lighthouse Park.
