ART WEEK The Colors of Water

ART WEEK The Colors of Water

Presented by City of Marquette Arts and Culture Center at Presque Isle Pavilion

This class will demonstrate and teach the techniques of painting with watercolors, highlighting the many moods of Lake Superior. The beauty of watercolor is in its unique qualities of transparency and opacity. It is a distinctive medium using both drawing and painting to create a unique art form. Participants will complete a painting of the Lake using inspirations as observed from the Pavilion. We will explore how watercolors can bring out the special beauty of Lake Superior. No prior experience is necessary.

This activity is part of the City of Marquette's 2022 Art Week. For more information on Art Week, visit our Art Week homepage. For a full listing of this year's events, click here. Please note that event details are subject to change; online listings will be updated as necessary.
