In this annual Art Week Plein Air youth event, participants will learn about the history of Plein Air painting, view a demonstration, and be given a collaborative canvas and a place to paint the picturesque Lighthouse grounds scenery.
Come on down to the Marquette Maritime Museum for the annual Children Paint Plein Air event, co-sponsored by the Maritime Museum and Liberty Children’s Art Project! Participants will be given a short history of the Plein Air tradition, a demonstration, a collaborative canvas and a place to paint the scenery on the picturesque Lighthouse grounds as well as supports, paints, and brushes. Participants should be between the ages of 8-18 unless accompanied by an adult.
