Join us in our effort to raise funding to assist local families who are unable to afford their utility bills.
The Marquette Board of Light & Power is hosting its first annual 5K fun run and 1 mile walk to kick off fundraising efforts for our new Generating Change program. This program has been created to assist low income customers in the MBLP service territory with their electric utility bills during the winter months.
The run will start at the Marquette Board of Light & Power parking lot located at 2200 Wright St. Runners will be able to enjoy a rugged yet beautiful trail as they travel the 5K loop. The Salvation Army will be there with their canteen truck to provide water to the runners. Volunteers will be stationed along the trail to keep runners on track and in the event of an emergency. Due to the terrain, no strollers, pets, bikes or personal music devices are allowed.
$25 entry fee or $20 with non-perishable food donation.
Register in office at 2200 Wright St prior to event day or on the day of the event.
