Presented by City of Marquette Arts and Culture Center and Lake Superior Art Association at City of Marquette Arts & Culture Center

The Deo Gallery: Ginnie Cappaert, Color Memories
The exhibit is a meditative exploration of abstract landscapes, using over 40 layers of pigment with oil paints, cold wax, and marble dust to capture the essence of nature and changing seasons. Cappaert now owns and operates a studio and gallery of her work in Egg Harbor, WI. She lived in the U.P. for over thirty years.

Please note that the planned opening artist reception scheduled for Thursday, December 14, from 6-8 PM, for 'Color Memories' by Ginnie Cappaert in the Deo Gallery has been canceled due to artist availability. The exhibit will be on display through January 27, 2024. The Deo Gallery is open to the public, free to visit, and accessible during regular library hours. The Deo Gallery is owned by the City of Marquette and is located in the lower level of the Peter White Public Library in the City’s Arts & Culture Center; it is supported by the Lake Superior Art Association.
