Marquette Rockestra plays The Dark Side of the Moon and Hits of 1973

Presented by Marquette Rockestra and Kaufman Auditorium at Kaufman Auditorium

Since 2017, the Marquette Rockestra, a musical guild of area musicians of all-ages have presented “one night only” performances of unforgettable rock and popular music at Kaufman Auditorium.  The tradition continues this June with an amazing concert celebrating the 50th anniversary of Pink Floyd's, “The Dark Side Of The Moon.” The concert will feature over thirty local musicians from the Marquette area joining forces to perform this classic album to get you into that cosmic spirit. The concert is a fundraiser for the United Way of Marquette County and will be held at Kaufman Auditorium on Thursday, June 1 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are currently available from nmu.universitytickets.com or can be purchased at the Berry Event Center, Forest Roberts Theatre and the NMU Bookstore.  Ticket prices are Adults - $20; Under 18 - $10.

In addition to song-by-song recreation of "The Dark Side of the Moon," the evening will begin with an opening set, “The Light Side Of The Dial”, featuring AM hit singles from 1973.  Playing the songs will be musicians and singers from some of Marquette’s most popular rock bands and groups and singer-songwriters from the area.
