The annual Holiday Brass Choir Concert will be held at 4:00pm on Sunday afternoon, December 11 at the Marquette Regional History Center featuring ten musicians playing familiar Christmas carols and songs.
Brass and holidays seem to go together. Perhaps this stems from the familiar image of a brass quartet playing outside, gathered around large black kettle. Carrying on that musical tradition with a slightly larger ensemble and a much more comfortable environment, ten local brass players will offer their talents to the community in their annual concert of holiday music.
There was standing-room only in the Commons at last year’s concert. Aware of the situation, the Marquette Regional History Center has graciously invited the group to perform in their beautiful and more spacious structure this year. The informal program will consist of familiar Christmas songs and carols, along with a few that are less-commonly heard. The concert is free and open to the public.
Free admission.
