Join us for monthly discussion-based classes, one of many fun and engaging aspects of the Senior Theatre Experience program!
The Senior Theatre Experience is a free program for adults ages 55+ to discover, learn, and have fun while exploring different aspects of the world of theatre by offering unique experiences which illuminate the creativity, collaboration, and innovation behind the curtain. As a participant, you will have the opportunity to attend rehearsals, lectures, and discussion-based classes, while learning about the technical aspects such as lighting, stage, makeup, and costume design, along with free tickets to upcoming productions.
Classes take place on the second and fourth Monday of each month, from 4:00pm-5:00pm at the City of Marquette Arts & Culture Center, located in the lower level of Peter White Public Library. Monthly experiences and performances take place on a rolling basis.
The Senior Theatre Experience is facilitated in partnership between the City of Marquette Senior Center and Songbird Creative, led by program director Moiré Embley.
