In-person Senior Visual Art Classes return in August, featuring Acrylic Pouring Techniques taught by local artist and instructor Marlene Wood!
Senior Visual Arts classes are offered on the first and third Wednesday of each month from 1:00pm-3:00pm at the City of Marquette Arts & Culture Center, located in the lower level of Peter White Public Library.
This month’s classes feature local artist Marlene Wood teaching Acrylic Pouring Techniques! Students will have fun learning acrylic pouring techniques to create personal masterpieces on canvas.
These classes are free to City of Marquette, Chocolay Township, Powell Township, and Marquette Township residents ages 55+. Non-residents are welcome to attend for a small donation of $5 per class to help cover the cost of supplies.
There’s still plenty of room on August 4, and August 18 is filling up fast!
Reserve your spot by calling Tristan at (906) 225-8655 or emailing tluoma@marquettemi.gov. The same class will be offered on both dates, so please only sign up for one or the other. No prior artistic experience necessary.
