League of Women Voters - Monthly Membership Meeting

Presented by League of Women Voters - Marquette County at Online/Virtual Space

The League of Women Voters of Marquette County is hosting a special program during the League's regular meeting time. The topic is the U.S. Electoral College, which will be outlined from its beginnings to its long-term effects on our elections. Our presenter, a downstate member and attorney, will join us to share her research and analysis of this influential American institution. She serves on the LWV - Michigan Board of Directors as Vice President of Program and is an active member of the state Advocacy Committee. This topic is timely and an important review of our constitutional election process.

The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization that encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. Current members will receive a “Zoom” invitation and agenda. Non-members (youth, women, and men) are also invited to attend. To obtain access, send an email ahead-of-time to dthomsona@gmail.com
