On Tuesday of Art Week, members of the band Adam Sawfox will perform songs of bandleader Michael Waite with the help of a quintet of Marquette’s finest string players on the grounds of Marquette’s iconic Harbor Lighthouse.
Featured performers include Bud Clowers (drums), Kerry Yost (vocals), Harry South (bass), Mike Bjella (clarinet and saxophone), Michael Waite (singer and songwriter), Amanda Diddams (vocals), Dani Simandl and Janis Peterson (violin), Eric Marta (viola), and Adam Hall (cello).
For the past 5 years, Adam Sawfox has centered a band around fun and meaningful acoustic music. They feature delightful harmony singing of old school rock n roll, jazz, folk, soul, and the original songs of bandleader Michael Waite. This season, they will be presenting the songs of Michael’s new album, We’ve Always Been at Home, which is in the final stages of recording right now.
