ART WEEK Hiawatha Kickoff Concert

ART WEEK Hiawatha Kickoff Concert

Presented by Hiawatha Music Co-op at Marquette Commons

All are invited to the opening of Art Week on Monday night! Hear some entertaining music, tap your toes, dance and learn more about all that Art Week has to offer. The Co-op will kick off Art Week with a FREE family-oriented concert on Monday at the Marquette Commons in Downtown Marquette starting with local favorites WhoDat Brass at 6:00pm, followed by another local favorite The Union Suits at 7:00pm, and ending with The Jive Trio from under the bridge, but with Hiawatha-familiar faces Frank Youngman, Mark Schrock, and Tom T. Ball.

While enjoying the music, stop by the youth table at the Commons at 6:00pm where kids 12 and under can participate in a fun, traditional art activity. Paint a ukulele or guitar cut out in preparation for the Art Week Hiawatha Children’s Parade on Wednesday at 1:00pm! These activities are handicap accessible and handicapped seating will be available.

Seating will be limited; please bring your own chair or blanket if you're able!

HMC Art Week activities are sponsored by Travel Marquette, the City of Marquette Office of Arts & Culture, Michigan Council for Arts & Cultural Affairs, and the Hiawatha Music Co-op. Donations of time and talent have also been provided by Doug Kitchel and Gene and Susan Bertram in assisting with youth activities.
