Join the Michigan Nature Association at Presque Isle Park, and show your support for habitat protection for Michigan’s moose, and other plants and animals across the state.
The Michigan Nature Association is hosting the Race for Michigan Nature, a statewide series of Family Fun Runs & 5Ks stretching from Belle Isle in Detroit to Marquette in the U.P. Each race spotlights one of Michigan's rarest species and helps promote the importance of protecting Michigan’s remaining natural areas. The runs are endorsed by the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness, Health and Sports and each qualifies for the Pure Michigan Challenge. Join us for the Moose on the Loose on Sunday, August 25!
Participants learn about Michigan's endangered species, receive race t-shirts, medals, and complimentary memberships to the Michigan Nature Association. Each 5K race will be timed and there are prizes for the male and female overall winners. Not a runner? No problem! Walkers are welcome, too! Bring the whole family! Kids can walk/run their own short course as well.
Volunteers are also needed at all races! We're looking for energetic individuals and organizations to provide great customer service to our 5K participants. Interested in helping with registration, monitoring along the course, handing out medals? We have a spot for everyone!

Register for the 1 Mile Fun Run for only $10, 5K pre-race price is $25, or $30 on race day. Kids 1-12 can register for the 5K for only $20 pre-race, or $25 day-of.
If you would like to support our cause and get a free entry to the race donate $50. When you register for the race your entry will be free! Simply Sign Up and follow the steps to register and on the donation screen enter $50. ($25 discount applied during checkout. Valid until August 24th) Donate $25 and you'll receive a $10 discount off your 5k race entry fee.
