Kaufman Auditorium & Second Skin Shop are proud to present the 12th Annual Blueberry Dance Festival July 24th – July 25th, 2019. BDF will start off with a variety of free dance classes for all ages & levels taught by local dance instructors: Ballet – Deborah Choszczyk, Charleston - Camilla Mingay, Contemporary/Lyrical – Milan Marietti, Jazz – Kimber Shcumann, Pilates - Allison Cherette & Elise Hughes, Tap – Cassie Freeborn. There will also be master dance classes taught by special guest artists in Contemporary Ballet, Contemporary Improvisation, Jazz, & Tap. The festival will wrap up with a Dance Showcase/Competition. Dancers participating in the Master Classes & Competition must pay a registration fee. Tickets & Registration forms are available at the Second Skin Shop.

The Master Dance Classes will be taught by special guest artists Lauren Goodman & the Cryderman Sisters - Abigayle & Camyle. Lauren is currently in the training program for Alonzo King\'s Lines in San Francisco & will be teaching Contemporary Ballet. Abigayle, is a member of the Fun Girl Dance Co & is working on her Masters in Teaching Artistry at Wayne State University. Abigayle will be teaching Contemporary Improvisation & Jazz. Camyle is a certified dance instructor in the Metro-Detriot Area & will be teaching tap dancing!

The Dance Showcase/Competition will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 25th at Kaufman Auditorium, featuring Lauren Goodman, Abigayle Cryderman, Camyle Cryderman The Borealis Gypsies, Queen City Arts Company, workshop participants, & dance competitors. Dancers interested in the competition must pre-register by Friday, July 19th. Tickets for the Showcase/Competition are $10 cash or check made to Kaufman Auditorium.
