Nutcracker Ballet

Presented by Kaufman Auditorium at Kaufman Auditorium

The magic begins with Clara played by, Stella Huddle, and her sister Francesca, played by Selah Haehnel waiting for guests to arrive at their annual holiday party.

The children are frightened by a mysterious woman in a cloak, then Clara smiles as she realizes it’s her godmother, Drosselmeier, played by Becca Yates. Drosselmeier is known for creating magical toys, and gives Clara the most favorable gift at the party, a nutcracker, played by Josie Truckey.

Francesca becomes jealous of the attention Clara receives from Godmother Drosselmeier, and she breaks the beloved Nutcracker.

After the party the kids are sent to bed, and Clara dreams of her Nutcracker coming to life and they battle against the Rat King, played by Jeremiah Ogawa & Rat Queen played by, Amelia Bishop. Then Clara & the Nutcracker travel to the Kingdom of Sweets, and they are welcomed by the Sugar Plum Fairy played by Anna Beckstrom.
