Wolf Awareness--Medicine of the Wolf

Wolf Awareness--Medicine of the Wolf

Presented by Peter White Public Library at Peter White Public Library

The Peter White Public Library Invites the public to kick-off Wolf Awareness Week with the film Medicine of the Wolf on Monday, October 9 at 7:00 pm in the library’s community room.

In this 2015 documentary, director Julia Huffman travels to the wolf country of Minnesota to pursue the intrinsic value of perhaps the most unjustly maligned animal on the face of the planet, the wolf.  In her film she shares the insights of Jim Brandenburg, National Geographic photographer, who has studied and photographed wolves for over 45 years.

Following the showing of the film, Nancy Warren, Executive Director and Great Lakes Regional Director for the National WolfWatcher Coalition, will answer any questions that viewers may have. This coalition is a non-profit volunteer organization whose purpose is to educate, advocate, and participate in the recovery and protection of wolves.

There is no admission charge to attend thanks to sponsorship by the National WolfWatcher Coalition and the Friends of the Peter White Public Library. For more information, visit www.pwpl.info or call 226-4318.
