The 2017 Autumn Comforts Quilt Show, sponsored by the Marquette County Quilters’ Association (MCQA) will be held October 21 and 22, 2017.  Show times are:

Saturday from 11am to 5pm

Sunday from 11am to 4pm

Held on the campus of Northern Michigan University in the Don H. Bottom Center Great Lakes Rooms, the show will feature quilts from around the Marquette and Upper Peninsula region.  This year, we honor Ms. Esther Johnson, a longtime MCQA member. This special exhibit features a history of Esther's quilting and her many accomplishments as a quilter.  Additional MCQA member special exhibits, such as our local quilt challenge created for this year's show, will be on display as well.

MCQA is also holding a quilt raffle for our 'Superior Sea' queen size quilt.  This beautiful blue and white quilt contains fabrics donated, pieced and quilted by current members.  The 2017 raffle quilt “Superior Sea” drawing takes place on Sunday, October 22 at 3:00pm - and raffle ticket holders do not have to be present to be a winner!  In addition, vendors, demonstrations, a silent auction, and door prizes are sure to delight show-comers.
