40 Below Make a Difference Day

40 Below Make a Difference Day

Presented by 40 Below at Various Locations

Created in 1990 by USAWeekend, Make a Difference Day is a national event celebrating neighbors helping neighbors. This year, 40 Below has been matched with a member of the community who is not able to care for their yard and charged with raking and bagging leaves on the morning of Saturday, October 28. Prior to the activity, 40 Below volunteers are welcome to attend the Make a Difference Day Volunteer Breakfast at Northern Michigan University's University Center at 8 a.m. before meeting at the assigned location at 9:30 a.m. Rakes and scoops will be provided by NMU, but members are encouraged to bring their own rake, tarp, work gloves, etc. The NMU Volunteer Center estimates the yards will take 1.5 - 2 hours to rake. In the event of rain, 40 Below will reschedule with our yard owner for Sunday, October 29.
