Traditional Music Jam

Traditional Music Jam

Presented by Peter White Public Library at Peter White Public Library

On Saturday, September 9 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm the Peter White Public Library will host a traditional music jam in the library’s community room.

Bring your guitar, banjo, fiddle, bass, ukulele, harmonica, or just your voice, and join other acoustic musicians and vocalists for a community jam session. Celebrate the traditional folk music of the Carter Family, Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Bob Dylan, and others.  It’s a chance to share your love of music and learn a new song or instrumental technique. A limited quantity of sheet music is available for those not familiar with the songs.  Listeners and singers are always welcome.  This will be the first music jam of the fall season, so be sure to come out.

There is no admission charge to attend this event which is sponsored by the Hiawatha Music Co-op and the Carroll Paul Memorial Trust Fund of the Peter White Public Library.
