Date Established: The City of Marquette Brownfield Redevelopment Authority (MBRA) was established by the City Commission on September 8, 1997 to, among other things, facilitate the implementation of Brownfield plans relating to the designation and treatment of Brownfield redevelopment zones; to promote the revitalization of environmental distressed areas and, subject to such limitations and conditions as are or may be prescribed by law, exercise such other powers as may be conferred upon the Authority.

Number of Members & Term of Office: Seven members serving three-year terms, except for the 2008 appointees who served staggered terms of one, two, and three-year terms. The City Treasurer serves as an ex-officio member by virtue of the office she holds.
Do members serve until a replacement is appointed? No.
Quorum Requirement: Per section 13-4 of the City Charter, a quorum of any board, commission, or committee created by or pursuant to this charter shall be a majority of the members of such board, commission, or committee in office at the time, but not less than two members.
Meetings Held: Meets the fourth Thursday of each month at 8 a.m. in Room 103 of City Hall.
Bylaws: Yes; approved by the City Commission 7-27-98 and amended by the City Commission on 3-30-09.
