U.P.H.S Physician, Dr. Brian MacFalda will give a presentation on Stroke: Causes, Symptoms & Treatment.
Come to the Peter White Public Library’s Community Room on Wednesday, June 14, at noon, for a lunch time informational session on stroke with U.P. Health System’s Dr. Brian MacFalda. A graduate of Michigan State University, College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. MacFalda did his internship/residency in the Sparrow Health System and is board certified in neurology.
In his talk, Dr. McFalda will cover the causes and symptoms of stroke as well as treatment. Stroke is the leading cause of serious long-term disability in the US and the number 5 cause of death. Each year approximately 800,000 people suffer from a stroke, three quarters of whom are over the age of 65. Be sure to bring any questions you may have regarding strokes as well as a sack lunch to enjoy during his presentation.
