Tamara Lee Niemi’s exhibit, Exaltation of Life Scenes, showcases a collection of scenes that depict moments from everyday life. The exhibit will be on display in the Lower-Level Lobby Gallery (Outside the DEO Gallery) through the end of September.

The opening reception will be held Thursday, August 10th, from 6-8PM.

Tamara Lee Niemi is a local artist and photographer who owns the website www.aqauriusartventures.net, featuring 20+ pages of art and school fundraising/artist in residence opportunities. Tamara is a NHS and NMU graduate, VW School of painting, Barbizon Modeling School, and Landmark Education Graduate. Her other endeavors include hypnosis training, HMI, NYIP, Metaphysics, ESP, and dream interpretation.

As a child, my family traveled around the USA one summer month and I did photography of the vacation as well as my sister Brenda and parents Brian and Loretta. I was gifted a Brownie camera upon the arrival of my son Zachary B.K. Niemi in 1993. I became more interested in the photography to keep historical records as well as priceless treasures. Exaltation of Life Scenes paintings capture and preserve special moments to remember.

Each scene is captured through the artist’s unique perspective and features a range of subjects, from landscapes, to cityscapes, to portraits. Niemi’s use of color and composition creates a visually stunning collection of artworks that is both reflective and thought-provoking.
