Opening reception will be Thursday April 13th, 6-8pm. Exhibit duration is April 10-28.

The exhibition showcases a body of work from student graphic designers in The School of Art and Design at Northern Michigan University. First-level through senior-level coursework and some independent projects are included.

The media depicted is primarily digitally printed paper documents from inkjet and color laser devices. Creative suite software, mainly Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, is used along with Procreate software on iPads. The work addresses a wide conceptual range from advocacy, to typographic experimentation, to menu rebranding and layout design. Display limitations exclude app and web design projects–components in students’ portfolio work.

Exhibitors are studying graphics to complete degrees in Art and Design, with studio concentrations in Graphic Design, Illustration, and Photography. Works from Social Media Design Management students are also featured.
