“I chose this painting for the Marquette Memory Box Art Wall because it was the first painting I completed during the shut down. I had just been furloughed from my job, and this scene, with it’s dazzle of floral spark, would be a challenge.

“The painting represented a deep desire I had at the time, and perhaps the desire many people had, which was to have an open space, a green pasture, warmth, and the hope of a safe shelter.”
