Cover Art Contest - City Art Week 2024

The City of Marquette invites artists of all ages to participate in a public contest to create cover art for the Art Week 2024 booklet. Entries must be submitted electronically and will be featured in a virtual gallery for public vote to determine the winning artist of the 2024 Art Week cover art.

Taking place from June 24-29, 2024, Art Week aims to foster a vibrant community through arts partnerships, empowerment, and creative showcases. The theme for 2024 is "GROW," emphasizing personal and community development. Inspired by the relocation of the City's Office of Arts & Culture, the theme encourages participants to explore growth in their lives and the evolving identity of Marquette.

• Deadline for submission is Friday, March 1, 2024.
• One submission per person, Winner receives $100.00 compensation and artist credit in the booklet.
• Public voting on submissions takes place from March 4-22, with the winner announced by March 25th.
• Submissions must be sent to apruiett@marquettemi.gov with the subject line "ART WEEK 2024 COVER."
• Submissions must include Artist name, email, and phone number.
