Artistic Director Position Announcement
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Part-time Artistic Director of the Superior Arts Youth Theater. Serve as the artistic eyes for a well established and successful youth theater program in Marquette, Michigan. This position involves all artistic aspects of the program, with duties including directing, designing, or holding another leadership role for each stage production. Providing vision and leadership, to volunteers and contractual employees including planning/scheduling and personnel supervision. This position reports to the Executive Director. Anticipated start date is June 1, 2023.
QUALIFICATIONS: Baccalaureate degree preferred or equivalent experience in youth theater, youth theater education, education, and/or performing arts. Be able to calmly and effectively address changing priorities and multiple demands. Be comfortable interacting with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders. Have the desire and ability to provide every youth, staff member, donor, board member with a positive experience. Have the desire to work in an energetic and collaborative environment.
SALARY: This is a part-time position. Commensurate with experience (up to $20,000). No retirement plan or health care benefits are included.
