Zac DeForge Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser

Zac DeForge is a 26 year old Yooper from Atlantic Mine. He was on his way to stand in a friend’s wedding on August 28th when he complained of a severe headache. This headache turned into a loss of function in his right side and slurred speech. He was rushed to the hospital and it was confirmed: Zac had suffered a severe stroke on the left hemisphere of his brain cause by a blood clot. His health insurance from his new job on UP Health System did not start until October. With the intensive speech and physical therapy, Zac has accumulated almost $50,000 of medical debt.

We hope that the spaghetti dinner fundraiser will help raise money for his medical bills, as well as spread awareness about strokes, especially in young people.
