November’s Senior Visual Art Classes feature Gyotaku taught by Michele Tuccini!

Senior Visual Arts classes are offered on the first and third Wednesday of each month from 1:00pm-3:00pm at the City of Marquette Arts & Culture Center, located in the lower level of Peter White Public Library.

November's classes feature Gyotaku, taught by local artist Michele Tuccini! November dates are the 3rd and 17th.

Gyotaku is the traditional Japanese method of printing fish, a practice which dates back to the mid-1800s. This form of nature printing was used by fishermen to record their catches, but has also become an art form of its own. Don't bother bringing in your catch of the day - ... view more »

These classes are free to City of Marquette, Chocolay Township, Powell Township, and Marquette Township residents ages 55+.
