Senior Arts: Chalk Pastels with Colleen Maki

Senior Visual Arts classes are typically offered on the first and third Wednesday of each month from 1:00pm-3:00pm at the City of Marquette Arts & Culture Center, located in the lower level of Peter White Public Library.

September’s classes will be held on Wednesdays the 6th and 20th, and feature Chalk Pastels with Colleen Maki. Students will learn and practice the methods of blending chalk and creating a final drawing on black paper of the Northern Lights.

NOTE: Chalk pastels are messy, we recommend you wear an old shirt!

These classes are free to City of Marquette, Chocolay Township, Powell Township, and Marquette Township residents ages 55+. Non-residents are welcome to attend for a small donation of $5 per class to help cover the cost of supplies.
