Hiawatha Ale was introduced in the summer of 2015, and has since become an annual release in the Blackrocks tap and can lineup, signaling the heart of summer and anticipation for the Hiawatha Music Festival in July. Unfortunately, the 2020 Hiawatha Music Festival has been canceled due to the pandemic, but the beer is here to stay!

Blackrocks describes Hiawatha Ale as “… an American wheat dosed with loads of aroma hops. Full of Simcoe and amarillo flavor and aromas with a minimal bitterness.”
The party is 21+, and will feature live music outside from 7:00pm-9:00pm by local Celtic band The Knockabouts, featuring Dan Truckey, Barb Rhyneer, and Tim DeMarte. Hiawatha Co-op will have a table set up where folks can start or renew their membership and purchase t-shirts, beer mugs, and other merch.
Blackrocks Brewery is promoting social distancing by spreading tables out in their back parking lot. Face mask use is not required, but is highly encouraged.
Hiawatha Ale will remain on tap at Blackrocks Brewery while supplies last, and six-packs will be available for purchase in stores shortly following the release.
A portion of all proceeds from the sales of Hiawatha Ale go directly to the Hiawatha Music Co-op, supporting their mission of providing and promoting traditional music and dance, educating and informing society on traditional American music and encouraging the appreciation of music through an annual festival and other concerts and special events.
