Camp Star

Star Bereavement Services to help recruit volunteers for our upcoming Camp Star. If you’re unfamiliar with us, Camp Star is a children’s grief camp held at Bay Cliff Health Camp for UP children ages 8-17. All children are paired with a camp buddy for the weekend; buddies are volunteers between the ages of 18-25.

This year’s camp will be held August 9-12 and is a great opportunity for any college student who is going to be in the UP for the summer, or would enjoy a reason to come up for a summer weekend. Buddies will go through training on Thursday, August 9th prior to the campers arrival, and will join their camper for all activities throughout the weekend.

Camp Star is a really heartfelt way to engage in the UP community. If you know any empathetic and responsible students who you feel would enjoy the opportunity to help make a difference in a child’s life, please feel free to share this e-mail with them.
