Art Week at PWPL: Haiku-ing Your Way Home: Poetry Workshop with UP Poet Laureate Barbara Matherne

Wed, June 21, 2023. 1-3 p.m. Start in Heritage Room, PWL and end up in library gardens. Do you wish to capture that exquisite outdoor moment and a photo just doesn’t do it?

Haiku poetry—17 syllables in three lines—is the perfect form to express the essence of what you see and feel about the land and water that is your home. Learn how to start and make haiku with the UP Poet Laureate Barbara Matherne and volunteers from the UP Land Conservancy. Your poem could become part of the Chocolay Bayou Art Walk in August. Registration is encouraged at pwpl.info events page and/or uplandconservancy.org/events. Walk-ins are also welcome.
